In October 2016, Todae Solar and St. Vincent’s Health announced the rollout of 2.708MW of solar across 16 healthcare facilities for St Vincent’s across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Since then, Todae Solar has completed 14 out of the 16 proposed sites. St. Vincent’s Holy Spirit Northside 393kW system is expected to come online next, with St. Vincent’s Griffith 153kW system shortly after.
Todae Solar has been able to complete these projects without any disruption to patients or staff thanks to multi-megawatts of experience in multi-site rollouts and providing solar for the healthcare industry.
Of the 4GWh of expected yearly generation for all sites, about 545MWh have been generated so far, helping reach the St. Vincent’s National Energy Action Plan (NEAP) target of a 40GWh reduction in consumption by mid-2018. This is part of a growing trend of national and multi-national organisations looking to solar to achieve corporate social responsibility targets and bring down electricity costs.
