The University of Technology Sydney’s 101kW pilot system is now completed and expected to generate around 133,000kWh in its first year. UTS sent out RFPs last year and selected Todae Solar due to the immense amount of experience delivering commercial solar energy systems for Australia’s schools and universities.
This new solar installation located on Building 4 and Building 6 (Yura Mudang), will help UTS meet its goal for renewable energy purchasing to meet 40-50 per cent of the university’s needs by 2019. These works fall under the $1.3 billion City Campus Master Plan program, set out to encourage sustainability and energy efficiency.
